International Cricket Update: CPL 2021 ninth T20 match will be played on Tuesday in St. Kitts between the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Saint Lucia Kings. Trinbago Knight Riders are presently in third place on the points table after one win in three games. Saint Lucia Kings, on the other hand, won their first game on Sunday but remain at the bottom of the standings with only one win in two games.
On Sunday, both teams faced off against one other, with the St. Lucia Kings prevailing by 5 runs. R Cornwall (23 off 14) and A Fletcher (28 off 25) got the Kings off to a terrific start, laying the groundwork for a big score. However, Du Plessis (10 off 15) dropped easily, which is a major issue for them. Tim David's excellent batting form is keeping the squad in good shape.
Tim David hit three fours and as many sixes in his 43-ball innings. To lead the team's revival, he formed a fantastic combination with Roston Chase (30 off 24). The St Lucia Kings had accumulated 157 runs at the close of the first innings of the live T20.
In the second innings, the Trinbago Knight Riders didn't get off to a good start. Due to the slowness of the surface, Lendl Simmons and Tion Webster had trouble timing the ball. The Trinbago Knight Riders were unable to maintain the needed run pace.
Colin Munro batted uncharacteristically well, scoring 40 runs off 46 balls and remaining undefeated till the conclusion. In the 17th over, Tim Siefert stepped in and drastically changed the game in a couple of overs. After scoring boundaries at a rapid pace, he gave his team hope of winning the game. He hit a stunning 40 off 16 balls to help his team win the game.
Wahab Riaz's stunning over, though, prevented Knight Riders from winning the game. The Trinbago Knight Riders were unable to reach the 5-run mark. On Tuesday, both clubs will face off against one other once more.
