Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek came up just short of their first major trophy together a year ago when they lost in the Roland Garros final. The Croatian-American duo will have a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday.
On Thursday, the fourth seeds defeated 10th seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-3, 7-6(3) to reach the title match at the clay-court event for the second time. Dodig and Krajicek, who blew three championship points last year, saved three second-set set points against Granollers and Zeballos, eventually winning in a tie-break after one hour and 54 minutes.
This season, Dodig and Krajicek have won tour-level titles in Rotterdam and Monte-Carlo. They'll try to add to that total in the final against Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen.
