The T20 World Cup 2024 schedule has undergone some changes according to the International Cricket Council (ICC), since tickets for the massive event went on sale on Thursday, February 1.
The West Indies and the USA are set to host the tournament's ninth edition, which is slated to kick off on June 1. USA and Canada will play their inaugural match at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas.
The dates of the tournament's two semi-finals have been rescheduled, the ICC said along with the ticketing process for the grand event. Notably, the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago which was scheduled to host the second semi-final on June 27 will now host the first semi-final on June 26 with June 27 as reserve day.
Conversely, the second semi-final will now take place on June 27 at Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana, with June 28 serving as a reserve day. Originally, the first semi-final was scheduled to take place on June 26. The change is made to give the teams that advance to the final more time to travel.
The start times of all the games, with the exception of the tournament final, which takes place on June 29 at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, have already been announced by the ICC.
On June 5, India will take on Ireland at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
