In the ICC Women's T20I Player Rankings, India's Deepti Sharma has achieved career-best ranks among bowlers and all-rounders following some outstanding performances over the past week in the Asia Cup being played in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Sharma rose three spots and matched her career-best third place by grabbing three wickets against Pakistan and two against Bangladesh and Thailand. She has passed fast bowler Shabnim Ismail of South Africa and is currently only behind spinners Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn of England.
In addition, Sharma has climbed one position to 35th place among batters and is now third among all-rounders after passing Ashleigh Gardner of Australia. Sharma's third-place finish among all-rounders is also a career-high achievement.
