The BCCI has confirmed that Washington Sundar will miss the three-match t20I series between India and the West Indies due to a grade 1 hamstring injury.
On Friday, the allrounder suffered a left hamstring muscle strain while fielding in the third One-Day International against the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Sundar will spend the next three weeks at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where he will continue his recovery. After KL Rahul and Axar Patel, he is the third player to be ruled out of the T20I series.
Kuldeep Yadav has been named as Washington's replacement by the All-India Senior Selection Committee.
